ABOUT

Campocello was founded in 2002 by Mary Thomson and her sister Morna Howie. Each year our musical selection and crafts are based on a different theme. Music is arranged by the teachers themselves with the individual student levels in mind. Throughout the week the students will work on the fundamentals of group playing while often incorporating modern techniques such as percussive playing on their instrument. On the last day of camp a concert is held to showcase all the hard work the students have put into their playing throughout the week. Campocello is a great way to end the summer, while providing a jump-start to the beginning of the school year and the restarting of school music programs. This is a fantastic place for young cellists to come together every summer and play music.
